Eye Twitching

Eye twitching or eye spasms (technically called blepharospasm) is when your eyelid muscle contracts involuntarily which may result in a fluttering of your vision or an annoying eyelid twitch. If this sounds like a problem you’re having continue reading and I’ll show you how to stop that annoying eye twitch.

You should be aware that in some extreme cases eye surgery can be necessary for eyelid twitching treatment. You may need eyelid surgery if you begin to have issues that affect your daily life. Some people experience partial blindness or other problems requiring immediate eyelid twitch treatment. There are even some new laser eye surgery methods that can help with this. Laser eye twitch treatment is a serious eye surgery though and you should properly research it.

I suffered from eyelid twitching for years then I finally figured out how to cure eye twitching. It started off as something I associated with being sleep deprived because I first noticed it I was a sophomore in high school and wasn’t getting nearly enough sleep. However, I came to find out sleep had nothing to do with proper eyelid twitching treatment.

If you do research about eye twitching you won’t find a cure or eyelid twitch treatment that works for everyone. This is because the type and cause of eye twitches can vary dramatically from one person to the next. The first thing you’ll need to do in order to remedy your eyelid twitching is identify the cause of it.

So, please read my page on causes of eye twitching before you go any further. You really need to go through this list and identify possible reasons you’re suffering from eye twitching if you want a proper eyelid twitching treatment. Don’t listen to other pages that will simply tell you that you might have a vitamin deficiency causing eyelid twitching or that it’s a result of stress or anything else. All of these are possible problems but they also could have nothing to do with your specific case.

If you’re sure you know the cause of eye twitching in your case and just want a eye twitch treatment then please read my page about eye twitching cures, remedies, and eye twitch treatments. I want to state one more time though that you really should be sure you understand the cause of your eye twitch before treating it otherwise you won’t be successful unless you happen to be lucky.

Eye Twitching Treatment Success Stories

Michael Zimesnick writes, “Thank you so much for this information. My left eye twitching was driving me insane when I came across your site. I took your eye twitch quiz and was able to determine that the cause of my eyelid twitch was from not exercising my eyes enough since I was looking at a computer screen all day. I simply started taking timed breaks from my computer for a couple minutes and the twitching went away a couple days later and hasn’t come back.”

You’re welcome Michael and I’m glad that you were able to identify what the cause of your eye twitching was and find an eyelid twitch treatment for it on your own. This was the same reason I had problems with my right eyelid twitch for so many years. I also have reason to believe it has caused my near sightedness but that is a story for a different venue.

Jessica Dellerson writes, “My eyelid twitch turned out to be a more serious issue which is personal but I wanted to thank you for telling me to see a doctor if I had eye problems. My issues started with an eye spasm that was very infrequent but soon became such an issue that I couldn’t even read anymore because my eyes twitching was such a hinderance. Eventually my right eye twitching got so bad that I decided to figure out what the problem could be. I came across your page and decided that I needed to contact a doctor in the hopes that I could stop twitching eye. It turns out that I had a serious neurological disorder and had I waited longer I might have suffered permanent injuries. I’m going to be fine and I just wanted to thank you for making this more serious than I was taking it. Thank you, thank you.”

That is very unfortunate that you had such serious underlying problems. Again I suggest that if anyone reading this has serious or chronic eye twitching problems that you see a doctor for proper eyelid twitching treatment. I’m glad that you will recover from whatever illness you had and I’m glad you took my advice and saw a doctor before it was too late.
